Osho mystic rose therapy is a 21-day technique, a unique, dynamic healing and life changing process.
In 1988, Osho, an Enlightened Mystic devised this technique for the many thousands of people who had gathered in the Buddhafield of his commune in India. Over many years Osho created many meditation techniques specifically designed for Modern man. All these wonderful techniques are well known worldwide. Osho created 3 new techniques shortly before leaving his body in 1990.
The first was The Mystic Rose Meditation. The second was Born Again Meditation and the third No-Mind Meditation.
The Mystic Rose Meditation is a three-week process involving three hours per day. The first week is Laughter, the second week is for Crying, tears, and the third week is known as the Watcher on the Hill – Meditation.
First Seven Days: The first part will be laughter “Yaa-Hoo!” – for three hours, people simply laugh for no reason at all. And whenever their laughter starts dying they say, “yaa-hoo!’, and it will come back. Digging for three hours you will be surprised how many layers of dust have gathered upon your being. It will cut them like a sword in one blow. For seven days continuously, three hours every day…you cannot conceive how much transformation can come to your being. This process is extremely powerful as it confronts and dissolves many of our repressions and fears that have locked up our basic vitality and joy. Energy blocks are released through the powerful flow of energy that laughter creates during these three-hour sessions.
Second Seven Days: And then the second part is tears. The first part removes everything that hinders your laughter – all the inhibitions of past humanity, all the repressions. It cuts them away. It brings a new space within you, but still you have to go a few steps more to reach the temple of your being, because you have suppressed so much sadness, so much despair, so much anxiety, so many tears – they are all there covering you and destroying your beauty, your grace, your joy. During the second week participants are encouraged to cry fully, thereby creating a tremendous healing and transformational situation. Everyone is given total support and encouragement during this emotional time. There is no talking during the three hours of the process, which is totally supported by the collective power of the group dynamic.
Final seven days: The final week brings meditation, clarity and an integration of all that people have gone through in the first two weeks. After the profound release and healing of the first two week, a great depth of silence and presence.
So for three hours every day, participants immerse themselves into the energy of firstly laughter, then tears, and in the final week, the silence and relaxation of meditation.
This is a new meditation which also functions as physiological change, medical transformation and brings out your child with its freshness and wonder.
It will be a deep cleansing of many wounds and scars of centuries. Society has repressed your laughter and your crying because they disturb the status quo. This has been going on for millennia. We have been repressed much and whatever is repressed in this way becomes a wound. These wounds and scars have been developing for many lives. They are not part of the body, they are surrounding the consciousness and have to be released.
It is an absolutely new meditation which has never existed before in the history of mankind. Even scientists are now becoming aware of the benefits of laughter, what it can do for the body and its health, flexibility and playfulness. A good laugh or cry will also rejuvenate you
Osho on Mystic Rose Therapy
” We are going into laughter first because it will be easier; crying has been repressed more deeply than laughing. There should be not talking in the groups, just start laughing. If someone in the group is not laughing, the other members of the group should lovingly tickle him. And if someone is not crying, then the other members should just softly touch him and be crying themselves. Nobody should be left dead.
Let your tears be released and your laughter be released and you will feel like a new man. Three hours have been chosen because it is like a dam when it breaks. When this laughing and crying breaks, it is like a dam and one hour is not enough. The question is just to break the dam. You will find it very refreshing, everything is allowed, just don’t hurt anyone. There should be not talking during the three hours of the group.
No crying during laughing
No laughing during the crying
This is very important.”
